And we are back!

We are finally home from a week long vacation to Chicago. It was a lot of fun and we really wish we could have spent more times there. It was so fun to be lazy and not do much for a whole week. A longer post with pictures will come later.

Ready for the weekend

It is only wednesday night, but I soo wish that it was Friday night already! I am so tired, and the sad part is that I work all day on Friday. And I really mean all day. I work at Credit Attorney from 8 to 5 and then I work at Borders from 5 to 1. But Lauren will be there for most of the night, so Borders should be fun. And hopefully I can get some good tips. Ha!

Things to do before I go to Chicago:

  • get through this week
  • buy Ben's presents (yeah...I still haven't done that)
  • buy a present for my Secret Santa at work
  • do laundry
  • pack
  • eat lots of cookie dough (I don't really need to do this but I will)
  • clean my house

So, yeah, I'm sure that I have to do more things but I can't think of all of them right now. I can't wait to go on vacation. It will be sooo fun!

Cutest.Thing.Ever.

I just about died when I saw this:

It's official...

I'm totally addicted to the anime Vampire Knight. I blame it on my sister who got me started on this show. Now I want to know what is going to happen with my favorite vampire Kaname....Gosh, I'm a nerd!

My sister is always busy....

My sistah is here visiting for Thanksgiving break. For those of you who don't know, she is currently going to BYU Idaho. I love to have her here, but I wished I didn't have to work, so we could watch all of our favorite shows together all day long. Ben doesn't like to watch shows like "the real housewives of atlanta," but my sister does. We are actually waiting for the reunion special that will start in half an hour.

P.S. We both like to wear sunglasses inside. Because we are cool. Hecka yeah!

I watch too much Tyra

I am very proud of myself, I actually made myself breakfast this morning. Yep, I made myself eggs. I don't know if they are the most healthiest food but it was yummy and I ate a banana with it too.

Tomorrow I have a job interview and I am extremely nervous. I hope I am offered the job. If I don't maybe I should really consider starting my own band a la Eisley and becoming famous and not have to worry about getting a job. I guess the first step would be to learn how to play an instrument...but I won't let that stop me. No sirree.

Wishing

This is the reason I wish I was a blond and still a teenager. She looks beautiful and I totally wish I could pull this look off. (This is Taylor Momsen from Gossip Girl)

Sick

Today I woke up really sick, but fortunately I didn't have to work today. Ben took care of me (he is AWESOME--he brought me breakfast in bed!!) and he even took me shopping to make me feel better. I hope I feel better soon because Tuesday is my birthday and there is no way that I want to spend it all day in bed!

Things that bring a smile to my face:

I love candy corn and these pumpkin candies. They are soo yummy.

The kitty sleeping with me today.

The kitty likes to sit on top of my clean clothes.

I love Benjamin!!!

ROONEY!!!!

This past weekend I saw one of my favorite bands ever. I have loved, loved, LOVED Rooney since I was a freshman in high school. I have followed them for so long and I have never been able to see them in concert, until now. It was amazing. They are soo good and I loved every minute of it, well, except for the part when a guy standing next to me elbowed me in the face and didn't even say sorry : ( The opening bands were pretty good. Allred played a million songs, which meant that Ivy League got to play like maybe four songs, which was sad because they were tons of fun. Below are some pictures from the concert. I was so close to Taylor it was insane!!

Funny

The best thing I have read so far that has to do with the Olympics:

No Phelps? No problem.
By Bill Fitzgerald

Are you having a hard time waiting for Michael Phelps' next race? How have you been coping in the 24 hours (21 if you are on the West Coast) since "The Towson Torpedo" brought the Water Cube crowd to its feet with yet another record-setting, gold medal performance? Do you feel anxious and jittery, like a Tour de France rider waiting for his doping results? Are you pacing around the room, muttering about split times, underwater pullouts and flip turns? Did you put in your bid on eBay for his meet-worn and unwashed Speedo? Do you use a stopwatch to time your every activity, from making your bed in the morning to brushing your teeth at night, and celebrate each "personal best" by humming the national anthem, welling up in tears as you find your adoring mother's eyes beaming down from the stands?
Well, I hate to be the one to tell you, but it sounds like you are a Phelpsaholic. And it's going to be another whole day before America's Aquaman hits the water for the 200 meter individual medley finals. And I know tonight's preliminary just doesn't meet your needs. So how can you handle your phrenzied Phelps phetish? Well, now that you've admitted that you have a problem, which is always the first step, here are a few recommendations.
Find someone to talk to who feels your pain and understands the agony you're suffering. Like an NBC executive. Or a golf enthusiast struggling with Tiger Woods' absence from the PGA Tour. The Phelps Phan in the AT&T Wireless commercials doesn't count. She's not a real person, no matter how powerfully you identify with her. Besides, you probably wouldn't be able to get her on the phone anyway.
Reconnect with your family. Take the kids to the pool. Praise them for their swimming skills, but when you find yourself building a medal stand out of the deck chairs, it's time to leave. If you don't have children of your own, find a nine year old boy and make him swim laps until he nearly collapses. I'm sure his parents and the police will understand.
Go to the state or county fair. Resist the urge to swim an individual medley in the dunk tank. Instead, search for the funhouse mirror that makes you look like you have short legs, a long torso and the wingspan of a California condor. Now flex and pose jubilantly until the veins pop out of your neck.
Get in touch with nature. Take a walk. If it's sunny out, wear a cap. Better yet, wear two caps. Just like Michael Phelps would.
If all else fails, try a swimming movie marathon. Start with Pride. After that, Swimfan is a top notch thriller. If black comedy is your bag, try Swimming With Sharks. In the teen comedy genre, we have Swim Team. Spalding Gray's classic monologue piece, Swimming to Cambodia is always a treat, or if you'd just like to be confused by a foreign film, the French film Swimming Pool is would be perfect. If you prefer your cinematic weirdness in good old American English, check out Burt Lancaster in The Swimmer.
That should be more than enough to hold you until tomorrow night. But remember, this is only a temporary fix. After this Saturday, it's four years until the next Olympics and who knows if Phelps will even swim in London in 2012? I'd recommend that you join Phelpsaholics Anonymous first thing Sunday morning; if there's not a PA chapter in your area, don't worry, there will be one soon.

Random Post Title

Right now I am listening to one of my favorite Spanish songs that only my sister will recognize: "Alma Rebelde" by Limite. I love this song and everytime I listen to it, I want to start dancing. It is the the type of Mexican music that Ben cannot stand, so of course I listen to it really loud when he is around. BAHAHAHA! This weekend I got really sick, but hopefully I will be better by Saturday (it is our one-year anniversary! yay!) Ben sucks at keeping secrets, and now I know that I will be getting chocolate covered strawberries on Saturday (this is my favorite dessert ever). Lately I have been addicted to everything that has to do with the Olympics. I watch as much as I can, even if the USA is not competing. I love watching with Ben because he is so loud and gets really excited. He is like a little kid. I love him.

Here is a picture of Ben on the Fourth of July.

The kids playing baseball. Hayden is just sitting in the middle of it all. Hayden on Ben. He is so cute.

Paez

I need new shoes. Okay maybe I don't need new ones, but I want some and I already know which ones would be perfect for my little feet. They are Paez shoes and the only reason I know about them is because they have a kiosk next to the Flirty Aprons one. Haley, one of the girls who works there, convinced me that I should get these shoes...and I agree. They are super comfortable, you don't have to wear socks with them, and they don't make your feet stink. And she said that with the color I want (the coral one) my legs will look super tan. Now I have to convince Ben...

Gloomy days....

It has been raining and gloomy these past couple of days and the tv peeps said it will continue to rain during the weekend. Bummer. Oh well. Here are some cool pictures of Ben, me and other people I know..

This is me on our way to see Indiana Jones, we were running late and I wasn't sure we were going to make it.

Ben being a dork like always. We were walking up to the temple.

Ben and I at the temple by the fountain.

My friend Jeff from the Testing Department cleaning up after Data Entry pulled a prank on him. They saran wrapped the table and his desk. It was really funny. Last night we had our Data Entry vs Testing Kickball game and DE totally won. I was on the losing team, but it was fun!! Whoop whoop!
